Harley started out as Bandit at an Animal Control, then came to us and was renamed Henry.  A wonderful, local family adopted Henry and he will now spend the rest of his life at Harley!  He is a goofy, sweet, fun, huge guy with beautiful blue eyes, and loves everyone.  Even with all that, he was a little nervous in his new home for a couple weeks, but after that, settled in very nicely. It is a testament to new adoptive parents to give your new family member a little time to adjust... Patience, love and understanding makes a good pet become great!  Harley loves his cat sibling, his human brother, and all of his family.  He seems to be comfortable sleeping everywhere, including in his new daddy's lap! Harley is a really big guy who got a home with really big hearts.  His family enjoyed him so much, they came back and adopted a sibling (Bilbo) from the Adoption Center to keep him company!  Harley is set for life, and we are happy for him - and his family!
Here is what his adopted mom said about Harley:  "
Thanks so much for following on Henry -- now Harley.  :-)  Harley is doing very well.  It took him a week or so to get adjusted, but he is quite comfortable now!  We are loving having him as an addition to our family.  He does get along with most other dogs and my mother in law's dog is his favorite playmate. He and Bilbo have a great time together and wear each other out. And let me tell you, it's hard to wear out a Husky -- as you probably know. The other thing I forgot to tell you is that Harley LOVES to "chase the red light". I'm not even sure how we figured it out, but he just loves chasing the red laser light. Perhaps he is part cat??? Every night at dark, he starts barking for someone to let him chase the light. If it's nice out, we do it in the yard. He prefers the upstairs landing in our house which is where we normally do it. He practically refuses to go to bed if he hasn't chased the light. I like it because he gets to play and it relieves pent up energy. After that, it's snuggle in the bed time."
We think Harley looks pretty comfortable in his furever home!
