Charles Smithgall Humane Society and Adoption Center

Your help is for them... whether working on Fund Raisers, coordinating Volunteers for an event/fund raiser, or working directly with the animals at the Adoption Center, grooming or walking, or just socializing them. We have need for groundskeeping, repairs, computer skills, people to answer phones, Adoption Counselors, Foster Parents, and many more skills, so whatever your specialty is - WELCOME! And be sure to specify your interests on the Volunteer form.

We have a Volunteer Orientation DVD at our Adoption Center to get your familiar with the basic rules and procedures at the Adoption Center. All Volunteers are asked to watch this 10-15 min. presentation before working directly with the animals, so please allow time for that on your first visit. It is available anytime during Visiting Hours, and we will periodically have Volunteer Orientation Classes, so watch the calendar for those.
